Wade Lohse was arrested this afternoon in downtown Philadelphia at 1:10 p.m.
Tuesday's arrest marked the end of a three-week-long chase that began on March 25th when Lohse fled his trial on vehicular homicide, felon in possession of a firearm and burglary charges in Lafayette Parish.
The arrest, by the U.S. Marshals' Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crimes Fugitive Task Force, occurred without incident near the Pennsylvania Convention Center in downtown Philadelphia. The search for Lohse included multiple law enforcement offices spanning from Texas to Pennsylvania.
"The coordinated effort of all law enforcement to bring dangerous criminals to justice ensures that the streets and neighborhoods of Louisiana are a safer place to raise our children," said Henry Whitehorn, the United States Marshal for the Western District of Louisiana.
