On March 13, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office Compliance and Awareness Program Unit (CAP) arrested convicted sex offender Roger D. Benoit, 36, of Moss Bluff, and charged him with failure to register as a sex offender after an investigation revealed he had moved without notifying the proper authorities within three days, as required by law for all registered sex offenders.

Benoit, who was convicted of pornography involving juveniles in Cameron Parish in February 2011, was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center.

Bond is set at $25,000.
