LAKE CHARLES - A 19-year-old Moss Bluff man was arrested on a charge of cruelty to the infirmed.
On May 8, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office deputies were dispatched to a home in Moss Bluff in reference to a disturbance.
According to deputies, Austin Lee Dailey struck two elderly family members, ages 80 and 83, numerous times causing several injuries and then fled the scene. The deputies' investigation also revealed Dailey allegedly had previous altercations with the two family members.
Dailey was located by detectives on May 10 and allegedly confirmed the allegations made by the family members. Dailey was then booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center for 2 counts of cruelty to the infirmed.
Judge Michael Canaday set his bond at $250,000 and signed a stay-away order preventing Dailey from having contact with the victims.
