Just a reminder for trick or treaters... keep repellent handy, protect exposed skin with repellent or cover with light colored clothing with long sleeves or pants.
The Iberia Parish Mosquito Abatement district will conduct aerial operations, weather permitting, Saturday October 30, targeting the city of New Iberia and outlying areas south of Highway 90. Operations begin 30 minutes prior to sunset and last approximately two hours.
The latest human case of West Nile virus was discovered in Iberia Parish.
Trick or treating is planned in New Iberia on Sunday.
Here's a list of the areas on the schedule for spraying on Saturday:
NEW IBERIA: W. Admiral Doyle, S. Hopkins, Jane St, Juarez, Morbihan, Belle Place Olivier, Willow Wood Dr., Usery, Highway 182 and all points in between.
SOUTH OF HWY 90: West to East between Delcambre to Jeanerette, South of Highway 90 and just North of Avery Island, specifically Delcambre, Rynella, Port of Iberia, Lydia and Patoutville.
