A Morgan City man is out on bond after he allegedly tried to pay to play a carnival game with weed.
The incident allegedly took place Thursday at the Shrimp and Petroleum Festival fairground.
Police say 25-year-old Antonio Marcus Campbell approached a carnival worker and offered him the marijuana. The worker declined the trade, saying he only accepted cash.
Police tracked down Campbell and arrested him. According to investigators, the found a baggie of marijuana in his pocket.
Campbell is charged with possession of marijuana and drug possession in a school zone.
The area in which the incident occurred was within one thousand feet of an elementary school, therefore the subject was additionally charged. He was transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and released after posting a bond of $1,384.00.
