08/24/2013 02:15am MCPD Officers arrested Grant Verdun Jr. 44yoa of Rousel Street of Houma and charged with DWI(first), Driving Left of Center and Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage in Motor Vehicle. While on patrol Morgan City Police Officer was stopped on shoulder of roadway waiting for traffic to pass when a vehicle crossed the fog line almost striking Officers patrol unit. Officer then conducted traffic stop on vehicle and came into contact with Grant Verdun Jr.. During interview of subject Officers observed he swayed as he stood and his eyes were red and glassy and his breath smelled of an alcoholic beverage. Upon subject returning to vehicle to obtain registration and insurance paperwork officer observed an open alcoholic beverage in console. At that time Mr. Verdun submitted to Standardized Field Sobriety Test which he did poorly on. Subject was then transported to MCPD where subject was given his rights per intoxication at which time he submitted to a breathalyzer test which yielded a result of .175 grams percent. Subject was charged accordingly and later released on BOND
08/24/2013 02:43a, MCPD Officers arrested W/M Alex Oschmann 30 yoa and charged him with DWI (first) and Driving Left of Center. While on patrol, MCPD Officer was behind suspect vehicle at which time offiver observed vehicle cross over the center line multiple times. Officer conducted traffic stop and upon speaking to the driver Mr. Oschmann officer observed that subject swayed as he stood and upon speaking officers detected slurred speech and an odor of an alcoholic beverage upon his breath. Mr. Oschmann was given the Standardized field Sobriety Test which he did poorly on. Subject was then transported to MCPD where he submitted to a breathalyzer test which yielded a result of .185grams percent. Upon completion subject was placed under arrest and charged and later released on bond.
8-24-2013 at 3:34am Mario Verdun Jr B/M 36 yoa
K Street of Patterson was arrested and charged with Warrant for MCPD for Impeding the Flow of Traffic and a Warrant for Driving Under Suspension along with two Warrants for the St. Mary Parish S/O for Failure to appear for Driving under Revocation and a Warrant for criminal Neglect of Family. While on patrol officers came into contact with Mr. Verdun during stop officers checked locals on Mr. Verdun and found that he was wanted. Subject was arrested on said warrants and incarcerated. Subject still incarcerated with bond set at $5000.00
08/24/2013 at 1224pm MCPD Officers arrested 30yoa H/M Milton Hernandez of Willard St. in Morgan City, and charged him with Hit and Run Driving, Operation a Vehicle without lawful presence in the United States and No drivers License. Officers received a complaint of a traffic crash in the area of 7th and Willard St. Upon arrival MCPD received additional information that the vehicle was leaving the scene of the accident and was last seen heading east on Willard St. MCPD was given a description of the suspect vehicle which MCPD officer located possible vehicle around the 900 block of Willard St. MCPD Officers spoke to the owner/driver of said vehicle and upon conducting an investigation it was learned that Mr. Hernandez was in the US illegally and he did not have a valid drivers license. Subsequently subject admitted to investigating officers that he was driving and did strike a vehicle at which time he left the scene because he did not have a drivers license. Subject was then placed under arrest and transported to MPCD where he was booked and incarcerated on the above charges. Subject has since posted a cash bond and was released.
08/24/2013 17:41hrs MCPD Officers were dispatched to the One Thousand block of Sixth St. in regards to a Hit and Run. Caller advised that they were following the suspect vehicle and supplied MCPD dispatch with the license plate number of vehicle. Officers located and stopped suspect vehicle at intersection of 6th and Sycamore St. Upon coming into contact with driver, officers observed that the suspected driver had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage upon his breath. Officers advised subject of his rights per Miranda at which time subject denied driving the vehicle that he was stopped in. Officers interviewed witnesses in the area and found that Donnie Smith turned North bound from Willard st on Sixth St. at which time suspect vehicle ran off of the roadway striking another vehicle. After the crash had occurred, the suspect vehicle continued on traveling north bound. It was then that the witnesses began to follow subject and upon doing so witnesses observed the suspect vehicle swerving across the centerline and ran a stop sign at the intersection of Sixth and Onstead St.
subject continued driving and then drove on to the neutral ground striking a mail box. MCPD officers arrived and stopped the vehicle at the intersection of 6th and
Subject was arrested on Hit and Run Diving and transported to MCPD where subject submitted to a Standardized Field Sobriety Test which he did poorly on. Subject was advised of his rights pertaining to chemical test for intoxication. Mr. Smith submitted to the chemical test with a sample obtained of .172 grams percent. Subject was charged with Hit and Run Driving, No Driver License, Stop Sign Violation and DWI (1st). Subject is still incarcerated at this time.
08/24/2013 21:01hrs MCPD Officers Arrested Biju Sivadasan and charged him with DWI First and Driving Left of Center-On the above date MCPD Officers received a complaint of possible drunk driver traveling south bound on Victor II. Officers were given a description of the suspect vehicle. Officer observed a vehicle fitting the description given which was confirmed by the complainant that was still on phone with the dispatcher. Upon the officers following the suspect vehicle it was observed crossing over the center line on Highway 182. Subject was stopped by MCPD and upon speaking to the driver, officer observed that the subject swayed as he stood and upon speaking subject has slurred speech and his breath smelled of an alcoholic beverage. Officer conducted a standardized filed sobriety on Mr. Sivadasan which he did poorly on. Subject was then transported to MCPD for a chemical test for intoxication. Upon arrival subject was advised of his rights relating to Chemical Test for intoxication at which time he submitted a result of .149 grams percent. Subject was booked and incarcerated into MCPD Jail and later released after posting bond.
08/25/2013 00:52hrs MCPD Officers arrested 37yoa W/F Christy Ellsworth of Hwy 662 in Bayou Lourse and charged her with DWI (1st) and Improper Lane Usage. While on patrol, officer observed a vehicle traveling west bound on Hwy 182 change lanes in an erratic manner. Officer conducted a traffic stop and came into contact with driver. During course of the investigation officer detected a strong odor of an intoxicating beverage upon her breath and her eyes were red and glassy. Officer had Christy conduct a series of Standardized Field Sobriety Test which she did poorly on and she was then transported to MCPD where she was given her rights relating to chemical test for intoxication. Subject submitted to a breathalyzer which yielded a result of .186 grams percent. Subject was booked and incarcerated and later released after posting of bond.
08/25/2013 01:52hrs MCPD Officers arrested 25yoa H/M Eduardo Corneja-Bautista of 8th St. in Morgan City, and charged him with No Drivers License and Driving Left of Center. While on patrol, officer observed a vehicle traveling East bound on Hwy 182 at which time vehicle crossed over the center line several times. Officer conducted a traffic stop and spoke to the driver at which time driver was asked to produce a driver license. Driver advised officer that he did not have one. Subject was placed under arrest and advised of his rights per Miranda and transported to MCPD where he was booked on the above charges. Subject was later released on a $463.00 Cash Bond.
08/25/2013 MCPD Officers arrest 28yoa H/M Marco Villareal of Hwy 182 West in Morgan City and charged him with a Warrant for the St Mary Parish Sheriffs Office for Failure to Appear for Speeding.
MCPD received a call from an anonymous caller advising of a subject that was wanted by the Sheriffs Office. Officers were given a description of the subject and officers located above subject at the corner of Fifth and

8/25/2013 19:19hrs MCPD Officers arrested 24yoa W/F Tiffany Randolph of Poncio St. in Morgan City and charged her with Possession of Marijuana (2nd Offense), No Drivers License, Improper Lane Usage and Hold for Probation and Parole. On 8/25/13 officers were dispatched to a traffic accident on Hwy 182 in Morgan City. Upon officers arrival they located the vehicle involved had pulled into a parking lot.
Upon officer gathering information for the traffic crash report Tiffany Randolph handed the investigating officer a copy of her vehicle registration and upon opening it the officer observed a green leafy substance that he believed to be marijuana. At the same time Tiffany also noticed the substance and she attempted to hide it from the officer as she tried pulling the paperwork from the officers hands. Officer secured substancefor evdidence. Subject was advised of her rights per Miranda at which time she admitted to the investigating officer that the substance was in fact marijuana. At that time subject was arrested and transported to MCPD and charged with the above charges and upon checking it was found that the subject was also on probation for a prior arrest on Marijuana subsequently she had a hold placed on her for Probation and Parole. Subject still incarcerated.
8/25/2013 20:05 hours MCPD Officers arrested H/M Luis Medina of Federal Ave. in Morgan City and charged him with Excessive Acceleration, No Drivers License and Possession of Cocaine.
While on Patrol MCPD Officer observed a vehicle backing out of a parking lot spinning its tires in an erratic manner. Driver then put the vehicle in forward and continued driver erratically causing the vehicle to swerve side ways heading north on federal ave. Officers stopped vehicle at the intersection of Federal and Onstead St. Upon coming into contact with the driver the officer found that the subject did not have a valid Drivers License. Upon further investigation Officers obtained consent to search Mr. Medina's vehicle at which time officers located a white powdery substance believed to be Cocaine. Upon officers questioning Mr. Medina about the substance found he advised them that it was Cocaine. At that time subject was placed under arrest and transported to MCPD where he was booked and incarcerated with No Bond Set at this time.
08/26/2013 12:50 am MCPD officers arrested 20yoa B/M Gerald Neddie of James St. in Morgan City. Mr. Needie is charged with No License Plate Lights, Improper Lane Usage, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. While on Patrol MCPD officer observed a vehicle traveling westbound on hwy 182 with no License Plate Lights. Upon following behind the vehicle Officer observed vehicle cross over the left yellow line and then abruptly make a turn onto Roderick St. Officer conducted a traffic stop on vehicle at the intersection of Grizaffi St and Rail Road Ave. Upon speaking to the driver Officer smelled a strong odor of what appeared to be burning marijuana. During the course of the traffic stop officers located a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana along with several forms of drug paraphernalia inside of the vehicle. Mr. Neddie was arrested and charged with the above charges and incarcerated. Subject was later released on bond
