The following are the Arrest for the Morgan City Police Department for Thursday 10/17/2013
1. Teligia Busby, 53 years of Age, Address- Fourth St., Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested on 10/15/2013 @3:20pm.
Charge: Appearing In Public Intoxicated, Simple Criminal Damage to Property
Officers of the Morgan City Police Department were dispatched to a Local Motel in reference to a female there causing a disturbance. Upon arrival Officers observed Teligia Busby arguing with another female. Upon speaking to her, Officers observed that her speech was slurred and she had an odor of an alcoholic beverage upon her person. She was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated. While being housed in the Morgan City Jail, Busby was placed in a holding cell due to her intoxicated state. While in the holding cell Officers observed that Busby had damaged a piece of jail property at which time she was additionally charged with Simple Criminal Damage to Property.
2. Jason Cavalier, 38 Years of Age, Address- Hilda St., Morgan City, Louisiana, was arrested on 10/16/2013 @ 4:16pm.
Charge- Warrant- Violation of a Protective Order
After learning of the outstanding warrant for his arrest, Jason Cavalier came to the Morgan City Police Department and turned himself in. He was booked and incarcerated and later posted bond of $1000.00 and was released.
No Further information on warrant.
3. Rochelle Thomas, 35 years of age, Address-Chennault St., Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested on 10/16/2013 @ 6:03pm.
Charge- Reckless Operation, Resisting an officer by Flight, Driving under Suspension, Possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle and a Warrant for Failure to appear in Court for Possession of Cocaine
In St. Landry Parish.
Officers were dispatched to Filmore St. in regards to a disturbance. Upon officers arrival a green truck was leaving the scene in a reckless manner. Officer followed vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. Upon activating emergency lights and sirens, said vehicle continued traveling East on Hwy 182. Where it refused to stop for officers until reaching a residence on Chennault St.. The driver, Rochelle Thomas was found to be operating the motor vehicle with a suspended driver's license and upon searching the vehicle, officers found an open alcoholic beverage. Rochelle Thomas was also found to be a wanted person from St. Landry Parish. She was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where she was booked and incarcerated.
