More than 1,600 UL Lafayette graduates to get diplomas on Saturday

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette will confer 1,615 degrees during Spring 2014 Commencement ceremonies.

Bachelor's degrees will be awarded to 1,350 graduates. Another 229 graduates will receive master's degrees. A total of 34 graduates will receive doctoral degrees, which is one of the largest number of Ph.D.s awarded in school history. Two graduates will be awarded post masters certificates.

The university's General Assembly will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 17 at the Cajundome. All graduates attend the General Assembly and participate in full regalia.

Doctoral degrees will be conferred during the General Assembly ceremony.

Master's and bachelor's degrees will be conferred at ceremonies for each academic college. A schedule is below.
