More Jobs Coming to Iberia Parish

In Iberia Parish, Governor Jindal announced more jobs are coming to the area.
More jobs will be available because Carbo Ceramics Company is expanding by creating a plant in New Iberia.
The company's plant will produce ceramic propant which is used when recovering oil and gas.
Jindal says the project is a 17-million dollar investment.
40 new jobs will be created which actually means more than 200 jobs will come to Iberia Parish.
The 40 new jobs will result in 86 new indirect jobs in the Acadiana Region, for a total of 126 new jobs in the area.
Also, 100 people will be hired to construct the the plant.
Carbo's new plant is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
