BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - The state has reopened some offshore
waters off Grand Isle to recreational and commercial fishing.
Wildlife and Fisheries Secretary Robert Barham says Louisiana's
territorial seas are now open from the eastern shore of Empire
Canal to the western shore of Belle Pass.
He says his department is working closely with the Department of
Health and Hospitals to get tissue-sample analysis so that fishing
can resume wherever possible.
All other closures remain in place.
