According to a HUD regional liason Dan Rodriguez, the board of commissioners approved to keep paying former director Walter Guillory and assistant Jonathan Carmouche for a period of 30-days.

Rodriguez however, says they were not authorized to approve any payments.

Both Guillory and Carmouche resigned from their posts after an audit showed many problematic areas within the housing authority.

Rodriguez says no payments will be made without HUD's approval.
