Additional charges have been filed on 2 Crowley men in connection with a rash of vehicle and residential burglaries. Crowley Chief of Police K.P. Gibson stated, " Our investigators are continuing their investigation into the string of burglaries which led to the arrest of Brock Simon and Dustin Ashworth last Friday. Both men were original arrested for 2 counts of Aggravated Burglary and 5 counts of Simple Burglary. Today (12-21-09) warrants have been secured on an additional 5 counts of attempted Burglary and Burglary".
Bond has not been set and the two suspects will have bond hearings on Tuesday.
Chief Gibson wants to remind the citizens of Crowley that though these suspects are in custody, there are other burglars still out there looking to take advantage of our residents. "Please use extreme caution. Do not leave property of value in your vehicle as it could make you a victim during the holiday season. During this spree, 2 police vehicles were targets of these criminals, indicating that they don't care who they steal from," stated Chief Gibson.
