Moratorium Meeting Open to Public

At the request of Governor Bobby Jindal, Lt. Governor Scott Angelle has formed the Gulf Economic Survival Team, or GEST. The task force has organized an on-line petition aimed at shortening the 6-month moratorium on offshore drilling.

Angelle is coming to Lafayette to discuss the moratorium and the petition this Thursday. Angelle is being hosted by the Acadiana Regional Alliance. The meeting will be held Thursday, June 17 at the Petroleum Club of Lafayette starting at 7:30 am. Tickets are $20. Seating is limited. RSVP to info@breauxbridgelive.com
