MONROE, La. (AP) - The principal of Ouachita Junior High School was injured while breaking up a fight at a school.
Assistant Superintendent Don Coker tells The News-Star Marsha Baker intervened in a physical altercation Tuesday between two female students.
Coker did not know the cause of the fight, which he said occurred during the school's lunch shift.
Baker was treated and released from the emergency department at a local hospital.
Coker said both students arrested were sixth-graders. Their names were not released.
