Moisture has hung around Acadiana over the last few days making it seem more like early summer outside rather then mid October. Humidity has been higher then normal and with temperatures reaching up into the upper 80s pop-up showers were showing up Saturday afternoon.
A weak front moved through Saturday night bringing more then anticipated rain to parts of Acadiana. It seems as if this warm and humid pattern will follow us through the rest of the weekend. Sunday will offer another day with temperatures pushing close to 90 and with the moisture levels as high as they are it will provide another afternoon with isolated shower activity.
The rest of the week looks like it will be sloppy as well with moisture lingering until the next front moves through around Wednesday. This will be needed rainfall for parts of Acadiana as we have had a fairly dry start to the fall season, and that following a dry summer.
Once the front does move through temperatures will drop back down into the 70s for the end of next work week, and until then expect warm and humid conditions to last.
