Mississippi Woman Charged with New iberia Kidnapping

A Mississippi woman is in custody on charges she kidnapped her friend's daughter. Iberia Parish sheriff's deputies say Jessica Hebert was visiting town when her friend--the girl's mother--allowed the four-year-old to spend the night with her. According to investigators, Hebert was supposed to bring the girl home the next day, but instead, she took the child back to Picayune, Mississippi. Deputies say when the reached out to Hebert, she refused to return the child. Authorities in Pearl County, Mississippi, found both Hebert and the child near Hebert's home. The girl has been returned to her mother. Hebert is awaiting extradition to Iberia Parish.
