Mississippi Slaying Suspect Caught in Louisiana

HATTIESBURG, Miss.- Hattiesburg police say a suspect in
the Sept. 3 slaying of a woman is in custody in Louisiana.
Police spokesman Sgt. Allen Murray said that Lonnie Eugene Ulmer was arrested Sunday in Metairie, La. Ulmer is being held in the Jefferson Parish jail. Murray says
Hattiesburg police will seek his return to Mississippi.
Police say the body of 31-year-old Bobby Joann Muir of Erie, Pa., was found in a Hattiesburg apartment. Forrest County Coroner Butch Benedict says she died from a gunshot wound to the head.
Murray says the case remains under investigation.
