Mississippi Motorcyclist Dies on Interstate 12 in Tangipahoa Parish Crash

Tangipahoa Parish - Early this morning at approximately 12:45 a.m., Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop L began investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle that occurred on Interstate 12 eastbound near Interstate 55 in Tangipahoa Parish. The crash took the life of Larry Seemann of Osyka, MS.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Seemann (W/M 49) and a 2012 Buick operated by Marlo Green (B/M 38) of Missouri City, TX. were eastbound on I-12, near mile marker 38, west of I-55. Seemann, for reasons under investigation failed to yield; struck the rear of the Buick, lost control, and was ejected.

Marlo was restrained and impairment is not suspected on his part. Seemann was wearing a helmet, which was not D.O.T. approved and impairment is unknown on his part.

Seemann suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene by the Tangipahoa Parish Coroner's Office.

Troopers collected a blood sample from Seemann for a toxicological analysis; those results are pending as this crash remains under investigation.
