BOGALUSA, La. (AP) - A Mississippi man wanted in connection with a November killing in Louisiana has been arrested in Missouri and is back in Washington Parish.
Online records show 35-year-old Jerry Ronald Graves is in the parish jail, but don't show what he was booked with. Deputy Michael Shively, a jailer in Macon County, Mo., says Graves was transferred Sunday to Washington Parish.
Washington Parish Sheriff Robert Crowe says the victim, John Tilly McCain, was nearly beheaded in Angie, in early November.
He tells The Daily News Graves was arrested Thursday in La Plata, Mo.
Crowe says he expects to finish investigating McCain's death in about a week.
Crowe says Graves was in Hattiesburg the last time deputies talked to him, and investigators believe he'd been living in Marion County, Miss.
