LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - Authorities say U.S. Border Patrol
agents arrested a Mississippi man at a bus station in Lake Charles, La., after they found 35 pounds of marijuana in his luggage.
According to Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office, agents
conducting a canine search of the luggage compartment found the pot in a suitcase.
Agents arrested 43-year-old Donald E. Thomas of Greenville Wednesday after seeing his name on the plate on the suitcase.
Thomas was booked with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. His bond was set at $10,000.
It was not immediately known whether Thomas has an attorney.
