The missing Broussard woman, Paulette Thibodeaux, has been found dead. Foul play was not a factor in her death. "She was located off of Heart D Farm Rd in a heavily/thick vined and overgrown area under an old tree that was laying on the ground," said Broussard Police Chief Brannon Decou. Thibodeaux's roommate reported her missing last week. Decou said she died from a "self-inflicted fatal injury." Broussard police have since searched for her and found her this morning using a Patterson Police Dept. dog that specializes in locating people.

"I would like to express my thanks to Lafayette Sheriff's Office, Patterson PD, Church Point PD, friends and citizens that assisted us in the search efforts; most importantly I would like to thank the officers of the Broussard Police Dept for their tireless efforts and initiatives that were done in an attempt to locate her," said Decou.
