NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A Mississippi woman has pleaded guilty in New Orleans to using counterfeit bank checks to purchase vehicles from several dealerships in southeast Louisiana.
Twenty-six-year-old Gina Seawright, of Bay St. Louis, Miss., faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine following her guilty plea Wednesday to making, uttering and possessing counterfeit securities.
Her sentencing by U.S. District Judge Martin Feldman is set for Aug. 15.
