NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A Mississippi woman has been charged with using counterfeit bank checks to purchase vehicles from several car dealerships in southeast Louisiana.
A federal court filing Monday in New Orleans charges 26-year-old Gina Seawright, of Bay St. Louis, Miss., with one count of making, uttering and possessing counterfeit securities.
Seawright faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine if she is convicted of the charge.
