After a memorable Mardi Gras glazing and one of the coldest celebrations in decades, milder temperatures are in store for Acadiana for the rest of the week.
Temperatures will still stay below normal through Friday morning, but after a couple of more cloudy days, mostly sunny skies can be expected Friday into early Saturday!
Another quick moving, mainly upper level disturbance will roll through the area Wednesday into early Thursday keeping plenty of clouds and some light rain chances through the same time period.
We may see a few intervals of sun in between all the clouds Wednesday and Thursday allowing temperatures to rise into the low-mid 50s.
After a chilly start Friday, expect temperatures to rise into the low-mid 60s under sunny skies....finally a nice day!
Saturday will be milder with highs in the upper 60s to near 70 but clouds will be increasing for the afternoon.
Showers and storms will be possible Sunday into Monday with the next weather system with perhaps a few days of nice seasonable weather to follow next week.
Long-range models suggest a fairly robust storm system mid-March which could bring stormy conditions to the area the following weekend and perhaps a brief return of winter temperatures!
