After a frosty and abnormally cold start for Acadiana Wednesday morning, look for mostly sunny and milder conditions for the afternoon with highs reaching the mid-60s.
A series of upper disturbances will roll through the sub-tropical jet stream and across the Gulf of Mexico Thursday into the weekend engendering more clouds, inducing a few widely scattered showers and warmer temperatures.
Look for highs to reach the lower 70s Thursday, mid-70s Friday and upper 70s to lower 80s this weekend into early next week.
Best chance of a few showers may come Thursday night and then again this weekend.
Deeper moisture Easter Sunday could lead to slightly higher rain chances and perhaps a few isolated thunderstorms.
It will likely stay unsettled and warm Monday with some rain chances continuing then drier tuesday/Wednesday with a nice stretch of weather to start Festival International de Louisiane!
