After some much needed rainfall early Tuesday a brief winter chill will return to Acadiana for a couple of days.
Breezy and colder conditions with clearing skies accompanied by a full "Beaver" moon are expected overnight with lows in the lower 40s.
Lots of sunshine is expected Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the low-mid 60s Wednesday warming into the upper 60s Thursday.
Thursday morning will also feature chilly temperatures with lows likely in the upper 30s to lower 40s.
Moderating temperatures are expected thereafter with highs back into the lower 70s Friday and mid-70s under fair to partly cloudy skies through the weekend.
With a return flow off of the Gulf Friday into the weekend, overnight lows will moderate back into the 50s with the risk of late night/early morning fog possible through Monday.
The next significant weather system should present a chance of showers and storms again next Tuesday.
