VILLE PLATTE, La. (AP) - A Moss Bluff man who has been an advocate of the eight women slain in Jefferson Davis Parish has been arrested on drug-related charges.
The American Press reports Wednesday that Michael Dubois was arrested on charges of possession with intent to distribute schedule II and IV narcotics after drugs were allegedly found Saturday inside his vehicle during a traffic stop in Basile.
He was later charged with introduction of contraband into a prison after prescription pain drugs were reportedly found on him during booking.
Dubois is the adoptive brother of Whitnei Charlene Dubois, whose body was found in May 2007.
He has led a public fight for the last two years in an attempt to find out what led to his sister's death and those of the other victims.
