Metro Airport traffic hits three-year high

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - More passengers flew in and out of the Baton Rouge Metro Airport in 2011 than in any of the past three years, with over 809,000 total passengers using the airport.
The airport said it had 404,735 passengers boarding aircraft in 2011 and 405,116 disembarking aircraft. The total represented a 4.0 percent increase over 2010.
The 2011 December total passenger count was 66,873 passengers, a 4.5 percent increase over December 2010.
