Omar Sikkaffy of Metairie faces up to 20 years at hard labor after he pleaded guilty to charges of possession with the intent to distribute cocaine. "Sikkaffy was in possession of 2.12 kilos of cocaine when Louisiana State Police stopped him," District Attorney Mike Harson said. He pleaded guilty to on Jan. 23 in front of District Judge Edwin Rubin and will be sentenced after a pre-sentence investigation is conducted.
"Our office will continue to prosecute criminals who transport drugs into our communities," District Attorney Mike Harson said.
The investigation was conducted by the Louisiana State Police. Assistant District Attorney Roger P. Hamilton Jr. prosecuted the case for the State of Louisiana.
