Memorial plans are set for a hit and run victim in Breaux Bridge. Robin Hinrichs, 53, died January 1, 2010 after being hit by two trucks on Mills Street near Bridge Bar.

An anonymous tip led Breaux Bridge Police to a hit and run suspect on Monday morning. Police arrested 49-year old Sidney Sylvester, who admitted to driving away in a panic. He's charged with negligent homicide and hit and run.

The 53-year old father of four is remembered as an easy going guy, who'd give you the shirt off his back on a cold day.

He was lovingly known as "Pop the Top Rob," "Fro" or "Bush," thanks to his full curly locks.

Visitation is planned for Thursday at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge from 2:30-8:30. There will be a 7:00pm service.
