The Muscular Dystrophy Association and more than 100 Acadiana area families will participate in the MDA Muscle Walk at Acadian Village.
The MDA Muscle Walk brings the community together to raise money to benefit local residents and families living with neuromuscular diseases, such as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and other forms of Muscular Dystrophy, Spinal Muscular Atrohpy, and ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease).
The walk will be held at Acadian Village, 200 Greenleaf Drive on Saturday, March 23, 2013; 9 am - 12:00 noon. Register online: www.musclewalkmda.org/lafayette2013
Walk - up registration: 9am
There are more than a million Americans living with a neuromuscular disease. Money raised by walk participants and teams helps support local MDA health care services, educational outreach, and research to find treatments and cures for approximately 900 South Louisiana citizens living with and affected by these diseases.
