MCPD daily arrest report

The following were arrested by the Morgan City Police Department during the last reporting period beginning 11/21/2013:

1. Jeremiah J. Aucoin, 31 years of age, Address-Pluto St. Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested on 11/21/2013 @ 3:00pm

Charge: Warrant: Failure to Pay Fine-Shoplifting

Jeremiah Aucoin turned himself in to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked on an outstanding warrant. He was booked and remains incarcerated.

2. Erick Tacain Juares, 32 years of age, Address-Amelia, La. was arrested on 11/21/2013 @ 6:00pm

Charge: No Drivers License; Failure to Yield at Intersection

Officers received a complaint regarding a vehicle crash at the intersection of David Drive and Victor II Blvd. When officers arrived to investigate, a driver, Erick Juares was identified as the driver who failed to yield which resulted in the crash. He was also found not to possess a valid drives license. He was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and incarcerated. He was later released on bond.

3. Melissa Chavers, 45 years of age, Address-Duke St. Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested on 11/21/2013 @ 9:12pm

Charge: Warrant: Creation of a Clandestine Lab; Possession of a Schedule III CDS-Tylenol w/Codeine

Brooke Fuselier, 25 years of age, Address-Duke St. Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested on 11/21/2013 @ 9:12pm

Charge: Warrant: Creation of a Clandestine Lab

On November 20, 2013 Detectives of the Morgan City Police Department executed a search warrant at a Chester Bowles residence based on an investigation Into illegal narcotics activity from the residence. During the search, Detectives located synthetic marijuana and items of paraphernalia which led to the arrest of one suspect, Tara Loupe. Detectives also uncovered evidence of a clandestine lab used to produce methamphetamine, a controlled dangerous substance. Detectives continued to Investigation and were able to identify two additional suspects in the alleged clandestine lab. Melissa Chavers and Brooke Fuselier were arrested after warrants were secured for their arrest with regards to the lab materials. Both are accused of participating in the purchase of lab materials and/or the production of methamphetamine. Both were transported to the Morgan City Police Department where they were booked and remain incarcerated. At the time of her arrest, Melissa Chavers was also found to possess a Schedule III CDS in her possession and was additionally charged.

4. Fernando Soto, 49 years of age, Address-Sixth St. Morgan City, Louisiana was arrested on 11/21/2013 @ 11:40pm

Charge: Create or Operate a Clandestine Lab for the Unlawful Manufacture of CDS (2 Counts); Produce or Distribute a Schedule II CDS; Create or Operate a Clandestine Lab within 1000 ft. of School Property

In a continuation of an investigation into illegal drug activity in the area of Chester Bowles. Detectives uncovered evidence which led to the investigators to a Sixth Street residence near the Morgan City Junior High School which the occupant, Fernando Soto was suspected of the production of methamphetamine. Detectives executed a search warrant at the residence in the 1100 block of Sixth St. and uncovered materials used in the production and distribution of methamphetamine, a controlled dangerous substance. Evidence was also uncovered which implicated Soto in the distribution of materials used in the production of the
illegal drug to others. He was also implicated as participating in the production of the drug at other locations. Fernando Soto was arrested and transported to the Morgan City Police Department where he was booked and remains incarcerated.
