MC school placed on lockdown due to nearby robbery

A St. Mary Parish school was on lockdown today following an armed robbery that happened at a nearby convenience store.
Wyandotte Elementary located on Glenwood Street in Morgan City was placed on lockdown this morning.
The school is safe, but the suspects are still on the loose according to MCPD Assistant Chief Glenn Blanco.
The robbery remains under investigation and KATC will have more information as it becomes available.
