New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu and Seattle Mayor Ed Murray made a bet on Saturday's NFL playoff game between the New Orleans Saints and the Seattle Seahawks. The bet promises wagers a package of hometown products to the city with the winning football team.
"The Who Dat nation is fired up for Saturday's playoff game between our Saints and the Seahawks," said Mayor Landrieu. "We've got a strong team that mirrors our city's strong culture, including our famous King Cake and cuisine. But this time around, we don't plan on sending any of our goods Seattle's way because the Saints are sure to come out of this game on top."
Mayor Landrieu's wager includes King Cake from Sucre, as well as a crawfish boil which would feature one of the city's brass bands.
Mayor Murray's wager includes doughnuts from Top Pot Doughnuts, Seattle's famous doughnut bakery.
