Martin named to Board of Regents

ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - Governor Bobby Jindal has appointed Roy O. Martin III of Alexandria to the Board of Regents, the state's higher education policy and coordinating board.
Martin replaces Mary Ellen Roy of New Orleans, whose term has expired.
Martin is the president and chief financial officer for Roy O. Martin Lumber Co. LLC, Martin Timber Co. LLC, and Martin Cos. LLC, family-owned forestry and wood-products manufacturing companies.
Martin has served on several state government panels, most recently the Streamlining Commission.
