GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - Pop rock band Maroon 5, whose latest release "Moves Like Jagger" featuring Christina Aguilera was at No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, will headline this year's Gulfport Music Festival.
Organizers said Wednesday that the second annual festival will take place at Jones Park May 18, 19, and 20. The event will feature more than 50 acts on three stages over three days. Organizers plan to release a list of other performers later.
Tickets go on sale Friday, with three-day passes selling for $75.
WLOX-TV reports that festival organizers also are looking for area musicians who would like to be featured
in the festival's Beer Garden. Interested performers should send an MP3 of their best song to www.gulfportmusicfestivalmsmediaradio.com along with contact information.
