NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The murder conviction of former New Orleans radio and television personality Vince Marinello has been upheld by a state appeals court.
The 3rd Circuit Court of Appeal in Lake Charles released the decision Wednesday morning.
The 73-year-old Marinello was convicted in 2008 of second-degree murder for the shooting death of 45-year-old Mary Elizabeth Marinello in suburban New Orleans. He is serving a life sentence for the 2006 killing.
His trial was held in Lafayette Parish because of pretrial publicity in New Orleans.
