Man with lenghty arrest record arrested for firing gun

A Eunice man, with 17 prior arrests, is in jail facing new charges. Jonas Vigers, 26, is accused of firing shots at two other men and charged with Illegal Use of a Weapon and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

According to Eunice Police Deputy Chief Varden Guillory Sr., witnesses told police the two men sped away in a vehicle Monday afternoon after Vigers pulled out a pistol during an argument. "Mud was thrown on Jonas from the truck and he began firing shots," Guillory said.
