MARRERO, La. (AP) - A jury has convicted a man of holding up a
Marrero barber shop by putting a gun to the head of a 9-year-old
boy in the barber's chair.
The Times-Picayune reports that a jury on Friday convicted
23-year-old LilRonald Williams, of Marrero, on two counts of armed
robbery. Each count up to 99 years in prison.
Sentencing will be July 19.
Prosecutors said Williams and 22-year-old Patrick Blair of
Marrero held up the shop just before closing on June 12, 2009. They
said Blair pistol-whipped a customer.
Blair pleaded guilty May 21 to two counts of armed robbery and
one of aggravated battery. He is serving a 10-year prison sentence.
