A man wanted on a domestic abuse battery with injuries warrant was arrested Monday in Eunice. When police found Charles Jamie Hill, 37, they also found crack cocaine and thousands of dollars in cash, according to Deputy Chief Varden Guillory. The warrant stems from an incident in February at 1611 Dudley St., the same place Hill was arrested. Police got word Hill was at that address and found him in a bedroom.
"Hill was also in possession of crack cocaine, $3100.00 cash, drug paraphernalia, and had been using narcotics in the presence of persons under 17 years of age while at the Dudley Street residence," Guillory said. Police found more cocaine in Hill's vehicle, according to Guillory.
Hill is charged with 2nd degree battery, domestic abuse battery with injuries, criminal damage to property - all stemming from warrants issued in January. His most recent charges include possession of crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of the uniform CDS law - drug free zone, and Illegal use of CDS in the presence of persons under 17 years of age.
