Man wanted for attempted murder of Breaux Bridge woman caught

A Lafayette Parish man accused of attempting to kill his girlfriend in Breaux Bridge then stealing her car has been captured in Lafayette.

Danny John Fuselier stabbed his girlfriend then left her home on Agnes Drive on Thursday, Dec. 27, according to Breaux Bridge Police Detective Darren Benoit.
Lafayette Parish Sheriff's deputies found him around 2:43 this morning after Fuselier crashed the car in the 2300 block of Mills Rd. When deputies arrived, they followed a trail of blood to a nearby trailer where they found Fuselier hiding, Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office spokesperson Capt. Kip Judice said.

Fuselier is being held the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center on an attempted murder charge and will later be transferred to the St. Martin Parish jail.
