Man sought for crime involving juvenile

Lafayette Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in locating a man that is accused of having sex with a juvenile and filming it with his cell phone.

On January 14, 2013, Lafayette Police received a complaint that Deneres Handy, 20, of Lafayette allegedly had sexual relations with a female under the age of 15.

The complaint was investigated by the Lafayette Police Department's Youth Service Section.

Police say the incident is alleged to have occurred on December 29, 2013, at which time it was also filmed with a cell phone.

Detectives have since issued an arrest warrant for Handy for Pornography Involving Juveniles and Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile.
