Man Shot by Deputy Charged with Aggravated Assault

A Breaux Bridge man shot by a St. Martin Parish sheriff's deputy has been arrested by Louisiana State Police. Officials say 32-year-old Laquantin Green was arrested after he was released from a local hospital. According to detectives, Green engaged the deputy with a handgun prior to the shooting. Green is charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, terrorizing, and felon in possession of a firearm.
