LIVINGSTON, La. (AP) - A 49-year-old Prairieville man received
an eight-year sentence in a hit-and-run fatality.
Assistant District Attorney David Guidry said
Adam J. May pleaded guilty to felony hit-and-run Monday and state
District Judge Doug Hughes sentenced him to eight years at hard
labor in the 2009 death of Jeremy Michael Wendt.
Guidry said May ran off La. Highway 447, struck Wendt and
continued without stopping.
A state police report says Wendt was dead at the scene, and a
piece of plastic found at the scene matched that of the damaged
front grill of May's truck.
