BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) A 44-year-old St. Francisville man has been sentenced in Baton Rouge to nearly four years in federal prison for possession of child pornography.

Earl Henry Leet also was ordered by U.S. District Judge Frank J. Polozola to serve three years under the post-prison supervision of federal officers.

Leet was convicted by a jury in January 2009. Leet's charge resulted from a September 2001 incident in which his computer was discovered to contain images of minors engaging in sexually explicit acts.

Assistant U.S. Attorney M. Patricia Jones told Polozola Wednesday that Leet's case was delayed because FBI agents familiar with the investigation either retired or were assigned to national security matters after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
