SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - A financial agent for an 81-year-old Shreveport man has been arrested for allegedly stealing more than $124,000 from his client.
Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator says 32-year-old Achillea Kirkikis, of Ruston, was arrested on a charge of felony theft. Kirkikis is being held in the Caddo Correctional Center. Bond information was not immediately available.
Kirkikis is accused of depositing annuity checks that belonged to the victim into his personal bank account while working as an agent at a Ruston-based insurance and financial services business. The alleged thefts began in 2008 and continued until January when the victim began asking questions about his account.
Prator says the total amount stolen was $124,055.16.
