Man's body found in Jeff Davis Parish

A man's body was discovered near Fenton Saturday afternoon in wooded area near LA Hwy 165 and Abbie Fontenot Road.
The Jeff Davis Sheriff's Office received a call from the Constable in Fenton who had been informed by a passing motorist, that a man was down in a field. Patrol deputies responded and found a 50-year-old man was on the ground near his truck.
There was no visible injuries and foul play is not believed to be the cause of death. The man's body was transported to the Calcasieu Coroner's Office for an autopsy.
