Man pleads guilty to child porn counts

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) A 38-year-old Baton Rouge man accused of downloading child pornography has pleaded guilty to charges of pornography involving juveniles and indecent behavior with juveniles.

Under the terms of a negotiated plea and sentence, James William Ragsdale will serve two years in prison followed by three years of active supervised probation.

Assistant Attorney General Stephen Martin said Monday that Ragsdale will have to register as a convicted sex offender.

State District Judge Chip Moore is scheduled to sentence Ragsdale on April 6.

Ragsdale was arrested in February 2009.
