Man killed in St. James Parish collision

VACHERIE, La. (AP) - State police are investigating a fatal crash in St. James Parish.
Troopers say a 24-year-old Thibodaux man was killed Thursday afternoon when his pickup crossed the center line of La. Highway 20 near Vacherie and hit another pickup head-on.
Trooper Evan Harrell says Tommy Thibodaux, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene by the St. James Parish Coroner's Office.
Sixty-one-year-old Gerald Torres, of Vacherie, who was using his seat belt, was taken to University Hospital in New Orleans for treatment of moderate injuries.
