Man killed in New Orleans traffic accident

NEW ORLEANS, La. (AP) - A 24-year-old man was killed and a 27-year-old man injured in a one car crash in eastern New Orleans.
The accident happened around 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
Police say the driver, 28-year-old Percy Johnson, disregarded a stop sign, lost control of his car and drove into a canal.
Johnson and three other men managed to get out of the car, but the other two men were trapped inside.
Emergency medical technicians extricated the two trapped men and brought them to a hospital, where the 24-year-old died. The name of the man killed was not released.
Johnson was booked with driving while intoxicated and vehicular homicide.
